Patagonia Argentina
"Patagonia is immensity, Desert and solitude. It's the attraction of nothing and everything at the same time. I am captivated to live within a zone with a very strong personality, where space is the one that leads. It's the adventure itself. "

The upper valley of the Rio Negro is the pioneering wine region and the source of most of the best Patagonian wines. The most important factor that distinct our wines is our south latitude.
The weather
It is a region with a special climate, where very cold nights alternate with days of intense sun, with great thermal amplitude, especially during the twenty days before the harvest when it reaches an amplitude of 18 º C. The climate is temperate desert, with an average annual temperature of 15 º C and an annual rainfall average of 197.7 mm.
The Wind
The winds are a hallmark of Rio Negro. Coming from the west, these winds are intense, dry, constant and fresh – factors that collaborate with the health of the grapes. These winds make the vine generate a defense system thickening the skin, which produces a higher concentration and more color in the wines.
Soil
Silty loam soil, PH: 7.5 to 8. They are well drained. No pebbles on the surface. Occasional presence of stony stands that increases the drainage capacity.
Irrigation
Gravitational, in rills or melgas. The water comes from the thawing of the Andes and is of high quality and purity.
Driving system:
In traditional plantations of more than 20 years of age: Conduction Guyot double. And in the younger plantations: Cordón Pitoneado (VSP).
The valley is irrigated by water from the thaw of the Andes, which is a very natural and pure water.
